Background Info
My path into user experience began outside of technology. After earning my bachelor's degree from Indiana University, I spent several years working in social services before becoming interested in how technology could be used to solve problems and improve people's experiences.
That curiosity led me to DePaul University, where I earned my master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction. Since then, I've spent my career studying how people interact with digital products, uncovering the problems behind their frustrations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to create more intuitive experiences.
I'm particularly drawn to complex problems—the kind that require curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to ask better questions.
Hobbies
My curiosity tends to follow me everywhere. I love getting absorbed in new worlds and ideas, whether through video games, books, movies, or whatever subject has sent me down my latest rabbit hole. I'm especially drawn to science fiction, horror, and stories that wrestle with existential questions about identity, consciousness, morality, meaning, and what it means to be human. One interesting question usually leads to five more—which is probably no surprise given that is the same instinct that drew me to research in the first place.
I'm also happiest when I'm creating something. Makeup and nail artistry are two of my favorite creative outlets, giving me a completely different way to experiment with color, composition, and design. Check out some of my favorite work below.
